With winter well underway we are often asked by our customers about the best way to look after their teak garden furniture, While teak oil is most commonly used you do need to be careful that the wood is as dry as possible before applying, if there is moisture in the wood the oil will trap it in the wood and the wood may start to rot and turn black.
There is no need to use any sort of protection for the wood as all our teak garden furniture is built to withstand the great British weather however some people do like to keep the origional colour of the teak, if this is the case for you we recommend using a water based teak protector.
Alternatively you can leave your furniture to weather down naturally and it will go a nice silvery colour over time.
